Jerry Burns

Jerry Burns, CEO, has successfully owned and operated disaster-recovery businesses for more than 41 years. In 1970 Jerry relocated from Michigan and bought a cleaning franchise. For five years straight his franchise became the number one dealer in sales and service throughout the U.S. and abroad.

In 1981 Jerry started a restoration business in Florida called Burns Services which specialized in Commercial and Residential Insurance Repair. Burns Services was positioned as one of the largest restoration companies in the southeast United States when Jerry sold it in 2003.

In 2003, Burns Services merged with three other disaster restoration companies to form InStar Services Group. Jerry was appointed Chief Operating Officer and was the largest individual shareholder.

In 2006 InStar Services Group was sold. Jerry left InStar and started BRC Restoration Specialists, Inc. Now with offices Orlando and Tampa as well as its corporate headquarters in Safety Harbor, BRC Experts are capable of responding immediately throughout Central Florida, but can be dispatched anywhere within the state for disaster response.

John Crist, COO, is a State of Florida Licensed General Contractor as well as a State Licensed Roofing Contractor. John is also a Certified Restorer as designated by the Restoration Industry Association (RIA). The Certified Restorer (CR) certification is often called the Ph.D. of fire & water damage repair. The CR program reinforces qualities guaranteeing superior service, by imposing a set of rigorous ethical and performance standards that are unique in the industry. With his Mold Remediation capabilities, John is also a CMRS (Certified Mold Remediation Supervisor).

John is a graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Building Construction. As a founder of Crist Development Corp., John spent decades building high rises, hotels, office projects and residences in the Bay area and has been providing construction, development and restoration services from minor water to extensive fire damage since 1984.

Ron Fink, is a graduate of Villanova University and a certified class A general contractor for the state of Florida since 1984. Ron successfully owned and operated Roche’ Contractors Inc. for 27 years. Roche’ Contractors operated as an insurance restoration specialist dealing with over one hundred various insurance carriers over the years for both commercial and residential losses.

In 1979 Ron transferred from New Jersey to Tampa, Florida to open and manage a new branch office for Vincent Insurance Adjusters Inc. In 1982 Ron joined Roche’ Contactors and purchased the business in 1985. Ron expanded the business from 6 employees to over 65 employees providing quality workmanship with value and service to his customers and the insurance industry.

In March of 2009 Roche’ Contractors Inc. did an acquisition and merger with Jerry Burns and John Crist to form BRC Restoration Specialists Inc. This union allows us to provide a complete one stop shop for restoration services.
